YOUR SAILING ADVENTURE


 

Your sailing adventure begins with Captain Dan and crew meeting you at the dock. After helping you on board and stowing your gear below, Prancing Horse will ease out of her slip and sail out the Mystic River to the open waters of Fischer Island Sound. It is here that the fun begins. We hoist the main sail, unfurl the jib, shut down the diesel engine, and begin sailing the wind.

Depending on whether you have elected a day sail (approximately 6 hours) or an evening sunset cruise (2 hours), you can choose your destination or simply “sail the wind”. Delectable snacks and non-alcoholic beverages are complimentary.  A catered lunch can be secured at a minimal cost.

After lunch, we can anchor off Flat Hammock Island, dinghy into shore, and enjoy a refreshing swim. After which, we will weigh anchor, sail up the Mystic river and quietly ease Prancing Horse back into her slip.

SAILING TIPS
Weather during a sail can change, sometimes abruptly, so it is a good idea to bring along extra clothing.

If you have a specific medical condition that could possibly affect your ability to enjoy your sail, please bring this to the attention of Capt. Dan BEFORE we set sail.      

Sailing involves motion so if you suffer from motion sickness, it would be a good idea to bring along a motion sickness remedy that works for you.
